Batı Hatipoğlu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Celal İlsu went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The Hakkari fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Hakkari's Celal İlsu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The wind increased when Esen Turalp made the kick off in the second half. When Gani Tuğaltan fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galatasaray's protests and gave Gani Tuğaltan a yellow card for diving instead. After 51 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Gani Tuğaltan. One of Hakkari:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Galatasaray:s goal. Hakkari were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
