With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gani Tuğaltan in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baransel Tanbay saved TRABZON SPOR from getting behind. TRABZON SPOR's Baransel Tanbay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gani Tuğaltan in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Galatasaray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naci Yetkin to maneuver through the defense. Baransel Tanbay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esen Turalp in the 21st minute of play. After 23 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Nazmi İpekçi. If Wolf Blue had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute Esen Turalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baransel Tanbay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esen Turalp in the 29th minute of play forced TRABZON SPOR's goalkeeper Baransel Tanbay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, TRABZON SPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Esen Turalp came free, but Baransel Tanbay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gani Tuğaltan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Baransel Tanbay made a huge save. Batı Hatipoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wolf Blue, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Gani Tuğaltan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatasaray's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gani Tuğaltan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 79 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Behram Çağlayan. After a defensive mix-up in TRABZON SPOR's zone, Esen Turalp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baransel Tanbay came out of the goal and Esen Turalp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wolf Blue in the 83rd minute of play forced Galatasaray's goalkeeper Batı Hatipoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kıvanç Saver struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Batı Hatipoğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TRABZON SPOR. After 87 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Seyfi Tozun. Gani Tuğaltan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Baransel Tanbay made a huge save. Gani Tuğaltan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Baransel Tanbay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gani Tuğaltan got free with Baransel Tanbay in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Galatasaray supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Galatasaray would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
