In the 30th minute Furkan Karasu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İrfan Arkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute Ahmet Vefik Akyol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ceyhun Türkşen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 minutes, Paşa Revan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Taytay and the Oltu players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Taytay's Paşa Revan got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Oltu's Enver Erşahin got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ceyhun Türkşen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Vefik Akyol in the 44th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Furkan Karasu to make the kick off. When Enver Erşahin fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oltu's protests and gave Enver Erşahin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd match minute, Oltu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enver Erşahin to maneuver through the defense. Ataman Korkutalp charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Ahmet Vefik Akyol in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ceyhun Türkşen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The long shot by Nejat Alp Ongay in the 69th minute really tested Ceyhun Türkşen's skills. After a rather tough play, Taytay's Ataman Korkutalp got a free kick in the 84th minute. After 87 played minutes Taytay got a freekick which was hit by Paşa Revan. The supporters of Oltu booed when Taytay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erdinç Başsoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the game, Taytay's Tayyip Bürgehan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. İrfan Arkan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. The Taytay fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Oltu were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
