Spectators: 7100 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) The audience thought a goal was coming when Başar Yay got free with Can Kudret in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peker Kamber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in ßeşiktaş's zone, Başar Yay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Can Kudret came out of the goal and Başar Yay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Akil Çakır sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 34 minutes, Akil Çakır managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kalamis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Akil Çakır was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute Peker Kamber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tayyar Hızlı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Başar Yay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Timur Tüzel fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ßeşiktaş's protests and gave Timur Tüzel a yellow card for diving instead. Timur Tüzel hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 53 minutes, Kayhan Akasma mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kalamis and the ßeşiktaş players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mehmet Emin Aksel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tayyar Hızlı having to interfere. Kalamis's Tayyar Hızlı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peker Kamber in the 71st minute of play. 74 minutes into the game, Peker Kamber recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tayyar Hızlı. Peker Kamber showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. 82 minutes into the game, Fazlı Durak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ßeşiktaş's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kalamis the free kick. In the 82nd match minute, ßeşiktaş was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fazlı Durak to maneuver through the defense. When Akil Çakır came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Kalamis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Akil Çakır couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ßeşiktaş had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
