The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Göksel Uluşahin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. The referee ignored 1984's protests and gave Hasan Tahsin Ağçelik a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of ShaOLiN FooTBaLL CluB booed when 1984 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hasan Tahsin Ağçelik didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, 1984's goal looked a bit too open when Salih Şamil came free, but Altay Uluer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Altay Uluer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Folke Lägdin in the 85th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, Mahsun Uğurlubay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1984's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ShaOLiN FooTBaLL CluB the free kick.
