Ali Hamza Özhan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in GÖKTUG&BERTUG SP's zone, Yağızalp Ortunc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gökçek Erdemer came out of the goal and Yağızalp Ortunc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evald Varblane blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gökçek Erdemer having to make a save. 15 minutes into the game, Balikesir's Evald Varblane nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gökçek Erdemer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Yağızalp Ortunc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doruk Harmandalı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökçek Erdemer having to interfere. The supporters of Balikesir booed when GÖKTUG&BERTUG SP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdurrahman Malik didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute Evald Varblane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gökçek Erdemer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Evald Varblane made a precise shot to the right of Gökçek Erdemer. GÖKTUG&BERTUG SP's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Yağızalp Ortunc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balikesir's supporters rose to their feet, but Yağızalp Ortunc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gökçek Erdemer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 36th minute, Şanver Uğurlubey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. GÖKTUG&BERTUG SP's Gökçek Erdemer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Berkant Kudret in the 39th minute of play. When Balikesir's Ali Hamza Özhan in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GÖKTUG&BERTUG SP's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yağızalp Ortunc in the 42nd minute of play forced GÖKTUG&BERTUG SP's goalkeeper Gökçek Erdemer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Şanver Uğurlubey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gökçek Erdemer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Yağızalp Ortunc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Gökçek Erdemer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Balikesir were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ali Hamza Özhan made a kick off. Gökçek Erdemer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Üzeyir Uçbay in the 51st minute. Gökçek Erdemer made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Evald Varblane sent off a good shot on target. Evald Varblane did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Gökçek Erdemer 62 minutes into the match. After having played for 68 minutes, Yağızalp Ortunc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balikesir's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yağızalp Ortunc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ahmet Seyfi Zabit fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GÖKTUG&BERTUG SP's protests and gave Ahmet Seyfi Zabit a yellow card for diving instead. Çağrı Onursu made a great header on Balikesir's corner, it was just that GÖKTUG&BERTUG SP's Gökçek Erdemer managed to reach the ball for a save. 80 minutes into the match, GÖKTUG&BERTUG SP's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Hamza Özhan came free, but Gökçek Erdemer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, GÖKTUG&BERTUG SP's goalkeeper Gökçek Erdemer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yağızalp Ortunc. Yağızalp Ortunc might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gökçek Erdemer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yağızalp Ortunc ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, GÖKTUG&BERTUG SP's Gökçek Erdemer got control of the ball when Yağızalp Ortunc tried to sneak it across the goal line. Doruk Harmandalı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökçek Erdemer having to interfere. When the match was over Balikesir could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than GÖKTUG&BERTUG SP throughout the match.
