The Beşiktaş fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ali Atıf Erbay should have stopped the shot. Beşiktaş's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Erdal Ulutaş 8 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. 11 minutes into the match, Karapinar's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Hafiz Zühtü came free, but Ahmet Hayri Tekalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmet Hayri Tekalp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Hafiz Zühtü's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. The audience was convinced that Ahmet Hafiz Zühtü's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ahmet Hayri Tekalp was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. After 22 played minutes Beşiktaş got a freekick which was hit by Utkan Paksoy. Ali Atıf Erbay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erdal Ulutaş in the 23rd minute of play. Karapinar's Ahmet Hayri Tekalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Hafiz Zühtü in the 31st minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Karapinar's goal looked a bit too open when Hakkı Deniz Zeval came free, but Ahmet Hayri Tekalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute of the match Ali Nejat Kaçkar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ahmet Hayri Tekalp showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ahmet Hafiz Zühtü received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ahmet Hayri Tekalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Abdullah Bakırcıoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Beşiktaş fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdullah Bakırcıoğlu couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 51st minute, Beşiktaş's Ahmet Hafiz Zühtü dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Karapinar's zone, Ahmet Hafiz Zühtü stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Hayri Tekalp came out of the goal and Ahmet Hafiz Zühtü tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st match minute, Beşiktaş was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Nejat Kaçkar to maneuver through the defense. If Erkut Civanbaht had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Atıf Erbay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erkut Civanbaht in the 70th minute of play. Ahmet Hafiz Zühtü's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Ahmet Hayri Tekalp skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Utkan Paksoy struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Ahmet Hayri Tekalp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beşiktaş. Ali Atıf Erbay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erdal Ulutaş in the 82nd minute of play. When Ahmet Hafiz Zühtü came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Beşiktaş fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Hafiz Zühtü couldn't finish the play. After having played for 91 minutes, Abdullah Bakırcıoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beşiktaş's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdullah Bakırcıoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ali Atıf Erbay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cezmi Akçan, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Cezmi Akçan kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Karapinar's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
