The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emirhan Uğuralp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grzegorz Lato having to interfere. If Muharrem İlter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Pazarsuyu SK's Muharrem İlter ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nazım Tanaydin. Nazım Tanaydin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Adnan İlseven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grzegorz Lato having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emirhan Uğuralp in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Grzegorz Lato prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Grzegorz Lato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rıza Canbek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emirhan Uğuralp in the 21st minute of play forced Pazarsuyu SK's goalkeeper Grzegorz Lato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rahim Orcun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the game, ENDi DUFREYN's Emirhan Uğuralp nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Grzegorz Lato made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 31st minute Emirhan Uğuralp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grzegorz Lato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emirhan Uğuralp might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Grzegorz Lato. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emirhan Uğuralp ran back to his position shaking his head. If Adnan İlseven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Pazarsuyu SK booed when ENDi DUFREYN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rahim Orcun didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Muharrem İlter was the one to do the kick off. Emirhan Uğuralp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Grzegorz Lato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Emirhan Uğuralp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bumin Tuna helped the player get up and apologised. Can Kayrahan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nazım Tanaydin having to make a save. ENDi DUFREYN's Rıza Canbek got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Emirhan Uğuralp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Emirhan Uğuralp got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
