In the 2nd match minute, Tokatspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roosevelt Dailey to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Murat Umman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christoffer Rabben was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. The Tokatspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christoffer Rabben should have stopped the shot. 18 minutes into the match, Tokatspor's goal looked a bit too open when Murat Umman came free, but Christoffer Rabben reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christoffer Rabben made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ozan Tacal in the 31st minute of play. In the 37th minute, Latif Acarbay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ozan Tacal came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Sakaryaspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ozan Tacal couldn't finish the play. Murat Umman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christoffer Rabben having to interfere. Christoffer Rabben made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ozan Tacal in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute of the match Sakaryaspor got a corner. Tokatspor's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Yavuz Selim Tanay ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Yavuz Selim Tanay almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tokatspor's Christoffer Rabben did a great save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bedri Başbuğoğlu to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Tokatspor's Marc Mostofizadeh seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Marc Mostofizadeh the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Tokatspor protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marc Mostofizadeh had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Yavuz Selim Tanay walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 56 minutes into the match, Tokatspor's goalkeeper Christoffer Rabben had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Murat Umman. Yıldıray İğdemir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yavuz Selim Tanay kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Sakaryaspor's Murat Umman got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sakaryaspor's Ozan Tacal got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Tokatspor's Bedri Başbuğoğlu got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Christoffer Rabben made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Murat Umman sent off a good shot on target. Yıldıray İğdemir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Başaran Okan in the 88th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the game, Başaran Okan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Yıldıray İğdemir was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tokatspor's Christoffer Rabben proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Tokatspor from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Tokatspor's Başaran Okan got a free kick in the 96th minute.
