Spectators: 6757 (Terracing: 5608, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 149) Sakaryaspor's Murat Umman started the match with a crisp pass. The supporters of Demirköy booed when Sakaryaspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Göktuğ Kayral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yavuz Selim Tanay's late challenge caught a Demirköy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yavuz Selim Tanay helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th minute there was a penalty for Demirköy. Bora Gümüş stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Yıldıray İğdemir. 2-2. Güney Ustam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yıldıray İğdemir having to interfere. Yıldıray İğdemir made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bora Gümüş in the 42nd minute. Kadim Yenay didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Selmi Tanrıverdi went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. In the 46th minute, Selmi Balım fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Yıldıray İğdemir, passed just outside the right post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bora Gümüş made a kick off. If Güney Ustam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the game, Bahattin Özakan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Yıldıray İğdemir was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 71stth minute of the game Bora Gümüş who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sakaryaspor's Yıldıray İğdemir was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bora Gümüş in the 72nd minute of play forced Sakaryaspor's goalkeeper Yıldıray İğdemir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bora Gümüş in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yıldıray İğdemir prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 76 minutes into the match, Bora Gümüş notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of Sakaryaspor's Yıldıray İğdemir. Yıldıray İğdemir was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Demirköy's Kadim Yenay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Demirköy from getting a goal against them. In the 83rd minute, Bora Gümüş got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sufi Akşin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Sakaryaspor booed when Demirköy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sufi Akşin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Murat Umman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sakaryaspor's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
