Kayserispor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Kayserispor's Resul Nusret played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oğuzalp Ulus in the 21st minute of play. In the 28th minute, Kayserispor's Russel Magrath ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Müfit Uygunel. Müfit Uygunel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Ardahan Gökekin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Müfit Uygunel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mümtaz Üstam in the 32nd minute of play forced Kayserispor's goalkeeper Resul Nusret to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FENERBAHÇE 1899 booed when Kayserispor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Göktan Mutluhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Resul Nusret didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kıraç Onaran went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Kayserispor's Resul Nusret played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kıraç Onaran in the 45th minute of play. Resul Nusret showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oğuzalp Ulus in the 47th minute of the match.

In the 51st minute, Kıraç Onaran reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Resul Nusret. The goal made the score 3-3. İlyas Tolga Afak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Resul Nusret tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 4-3 when Russel Magrath sped through FENERBAHÇE 1899's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Müfit Uygunel. Kıraç Onaran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Resul Nusret read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Resul Nusret was a little too slow when Kıraç Onaran got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 4-4. Resul Nusret didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kıraç Onaran went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-5 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as FENERBAHÇE 1899's İlyas Tolga Afak slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Resul Nusret. That made the score 4-6 after 77 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Russel Magrath in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Müfit Uygunel saved FENERBAHÇE 1899 from getting behind. 85 minutes into the match, FENERBAHÇE 1899's goal looked a bit too open when Russel Magrath came free, but Müfit Uygunel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kıraç Onaran took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Resul Nusret. Resul Nusret dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-7. If İlyas Tolga Afak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Kayserispor's goal looked a bit too open when Kıraç Onaran came free, but Resul Nusret reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
