Güce SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arguvan the free kick. 24 minutes into the game, Güce SK's İlker Yamanöz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexander Herrera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Güce SK's Ali Nejat Özkurt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Hakkı Hakim in the 27th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Azmi Avcıoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Ziya Vurgun in the 30th minute of play forced Arguvan's goalkeeper Alexander Herrera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Arguvan's zone, Atabey Doğanten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexander Herrera came out of the goal and Atabey Doğanten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arguvan's Alexander Herrera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Arguvan from getting a goal against them. Abdulbaki Özhan might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ali Nejat Özkurt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abdulbaki Özhan ran back to his position shaking his head. Ahmet Ziya Vurgun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Alexander Herrera made a huge save. In the 46thth minute of the game Ahmet Ziya Vurgun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arguvan's Alexander Herrera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Hugon Piechna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arguvan's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugon Piechna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Nejat Özkurt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mehmet Hakkı Hakim got free with Ali Nejat Özkurt in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 82nd minute Hugon Piechna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Nejat Özkurt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
