The Sapanca FK fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Sapanca FK's Hakan Karabasov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice moves Nicolas Anelka could shoot a difficult shot in the 6th minute, which Tolgahan Tuğbay however easily saved by the left post. Hakan Karabasov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sapanca FK booed when Cagaloglu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mirza Saykal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tolgahan Tuğbay didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hakan Karabasov went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Yusuf Bahadır Ganim hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 3-0 became the score in the 25th minute when Nicolas Anelka elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Nicolas Anelka's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Tolgahan Tuğbay skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 32 minutes into the match, Nicolas Anelka notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Cagaloglu's Tolgahan Tuğbay. Tolgahan Tuğbay was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 38 played minutes Sapanca FK got a freekick which was hit by Gilbert Czajka. 40 minutes in the game, Hakan Karabasov fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tolgahan Tuğbay having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Nicolas Anelka ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tolgahan Tuğbay was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 43rd match minute, Cagaloglu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Namık Kemal İzci to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Tolgahan Tuğbay managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Sapanca FK's Nicolas Anelka fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicolas Anelka was the one to do the kick off. Tolgahan Tuğbay came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sapanca FK's Nicolas Anelka. But to his dismay, Nicolas Anelka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Cagaloglu were furious when Efe Necip was red carded, 63 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cagaloglu fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 62nd minute. Penalty! In the 70th minute, Yusuf Bahadır Ganim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicolas Anelka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Tolgahan Tuğbay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolas Anelka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tolgahan Tuğbay having to interfere. Hakan Karabasov succeeded in the game's 76th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 8-0. In the 80th minute, Ricardo Stenshøj got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hakan Karabasov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Hakan Karabasov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sapanca FK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
