Hacı Ali Demirtekin started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes Sapanca FK got a freekick which was hit by Hakan Karabasov. 5 minutes into the game, Hacı Ali Demirtekin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Reese Barclay. Hacı Ali Demirtekin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Uluç Onursu charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Uluç Onursu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 10 played minutes Sapanca FK got a freekick which was hit by Uluç Onursu. Alim Balkan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Stenshøj in the 12th minute of play. When Baskın Oyal fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sapanca FK's protests and gave Baskın Oyal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute Hacı Ali Demirtekin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reese Barclay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Ermenek Gençlik Spor's Reese Barclay threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hacı Ali Demirtekin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Reese Barclay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Özbek Katib in the 28th minute. With 33 minutes on the clock, Bekir Şendoğan commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 33 played minutes Sapanca FK got a freekick which was hit by Bekir Şendoğan. After 34 minutes of play, Ermenek Gençlik Spor's Özbek Katib made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reese Barclay was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Ermenek Gençlik Spor's Asrın Kadem got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute of the match Ricardo Stenshøj sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alim Balkan skillfully saved the ball. In the 41st minute Ahmet Koralp Ülker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reese Barclay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Özbek Katib came free with the goalkeeper in the 46th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Reese Barclay could save by the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicolas Anelka was the one to do the kick off. Nicolas Anelka might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alim Balkan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicolas Anelka ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Alim Balkan managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Sapanca FK's Nicolas Anelka fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nicolas Anelka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alim Balkan having to interfere. Reese Barclay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Özbek Katib, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Sapanca FK booed when Ermenek Gençlik Spor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doğuş Taib didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute Hacı Ali Demirtekin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reese Barclay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hacı Ali Demirtekin in the 67th minute of play forced Sapanca FK's goalkeeper Reese Barclay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolas Anelka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Alim Balkan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Sapanca FK booed when Ermenek Gençlik Spor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şamil Seyban didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hacı Ali Demirtekin in the 73rd minute of play forced Sapanca FK's goalkeeper Reese Barclay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sapanca FK getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Ricardo Stenshøj hit a great ball. In the 86th play minute Nicolas Anelka came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Alim Balkan. 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilbert Czajka during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 89th match minute, Sapanca FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilbert Czajka to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the match, Ermenek Gençlik Spor's Özbek Katib sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Reese Barclay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gilbert Czajka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sapanca FK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ermenek Gençlik Spor.
