Murathan Keykavus hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Seyfullah Çelikhan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Recai Beren firmly grabbed it by the left post. Richard Berens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yıldıray Ozaner in the 22nd minute of play. Yıldıray Yanar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KUŞADASI SPOR's Richard Berens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yıldıray Yanar in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Naci Yelesen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 32 played minutes Istanbul Basaksehir FK got a freekick which was hit by 李永乐 Marco. KUŞADASI SPOR's Kayacan Tuğcu got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Recai Beren was a little too slow when Seyfullah Çelikhan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 1-0. A collision led to KUŞADASI SPOR getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Naci Yelesen hit a great ball. Richard Berens came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Istanbul Basaksehir FK's Yıldıray Yanar. But to his dismay, Yıldıray Yanar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mehmet Bedri Yeğin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Richard Berens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yıldıray Yanar in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute, Emrah Yuvakuran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Naci Yelesen kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Richard Berens made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Yıldıray Yanar sent off a good shot on target. Yıldıray Yanar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Richard Berens when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Richard Berens was a little too slow when Yıldıray Yanar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 1-2. Thanks to some nice moves Yıldıray Yanar could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Richard Berens however easily saved by the left post. 73 minutes into the match, KUŞADASI SPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Bedri Yeğin came free, but Richard Berens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 80 minutes, Mehmet Bedri Yeğin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Istanbul Basaksehir FK and the KUŞADASI SPOR players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th match minute, Istanbul Basaksehir FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Bedri Yeğin to maneuver through the defense. After 82 played minutes KUŞADASI SPOR got a freekick which was hit by Naci Yelesen. 85 minutes into the game, Yıldıray Yanar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Richard Berens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Richard Berens made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Yıldıray Yanar sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kayacan Tuğcu during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 93 minutes, Seyfullah Çelikhan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KUŞADASI SPOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Seyfullah Çelikhan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Istanbul Basaksehir FK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
