Erzinspor's Mahir Özay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yetkin Kocak in the 18th minute of play. Yetkin Akçabay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Mahir Özay made a huge save. After some careless play in the Çakıltown FK defense, Ahmet Sedat İpekçi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bayındır Mehmet Isfahanlı. The Çakıltown FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bayındır Mehmet Isfahanlı should have stopped the shot. Bayındır Mehmet Isfahanlı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Sedat İpekçi in the 30th minute of play. Aras Özozan charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aras Özozan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Çakıltown FK getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Aras Özozan hit a great ball. When Ahmet Sedat İpekçi came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Erzinspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Sedat İpekçi couldn't finish the play. Bayındır Mehmet Isfahanlı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Levent Kalender in the 37th minute of the match. Erzinspor's Ayvaz İlkim got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Levent Kalender fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet Sedat İpekçi to make the kick off. Erzinspor's Mahir Özay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genco Özdurdu in the 52nd minute of play.
