Spectators: 7441 (Terracing: 5575, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Melih Cevdet Tuğaltan kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Göktürk Ülmen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Burhan Oker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmet Efe Irmak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baybars Urangu having to interfere. After 8 minutes, Baykam Uzel made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Merzifon's Baybars Urangu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Merzifon's goalkeeper Baybars Urangu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baykam Uzel in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baybars Urangu saved Merzifon from getting behind. Baykam Uzel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Baybars Urangu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Akil Kubilay made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Çakır Bengisoy sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the match, Tosya's goalkeeper Akil Kubilay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Çakır Bengisoy. In the 27th minute Baykam Uzel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baybars Urangu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Baykam Uzel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Akil Kubilay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melih Cevdet Tuğaltan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baykam Uzel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Tosya booed when Merzifon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haşmet Açıkgöz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute Burhan Oker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baybars Urangu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Baykam Uzel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half Tosya were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baykam Uzel to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Burhan Akşin during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 51st match minute, Tosya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Burhan Akşin to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Tosya defense, Gencer Şensal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Akil Kubilay. The Tosya fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Akil Kubilay should have stopped the shot. Göktürk Ülmen charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Göktürk Ülmen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A hard shot 68 in the game by Baykam Uzel from a close distance when the talented Baybars Urangu managed to make a qualified save. Merzifon's players were relieved. Baykam Uzel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baybars Urangu having to interfere. Baybars Urangu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Burhan Oker in the 88th minute of the match. Çakır Bengisoy took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Akil Kubilay. Akil Kubilay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Akil Kubilay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melih Cevdet Tuğaltan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle, Merzifon could leave the field as winners, despite Tosya having more of the ball for most of the match.
