The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niceto Hotz helped the player get up and apologised. Niceto Hotz kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 9th minute of the match Talat Yurtsever shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sezgin Acarbay showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 10th match minute, Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niceto Hotz to maneuver through the defense. Mustafa İzzet Tigin took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ahmet Gökalp Sertel. Ahmet Gökalp Sertel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Ahmet Gökalp Sertel was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Mustafa İzzet Tigin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mustafa İzzet Tigin really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yiğitcan Yakup during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th minute, Yiğitcan Yakup hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sezgin Acarbay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Boran Akçakıl in the 26th minute of the match. Sercan Oğuzbala could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Ahmet Gökalp Sertel made a huge save. The throw-in from Mecnun Uçbay in the 35th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübü's Bernd Hutter. Mustafa İzzet Tigin in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ahmet Gökalp Sertel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Bernd Hutter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübü's Sercan Oğuzbala got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Mustafa İzzet Tigin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Bernd Hutter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 44th minute, Ahmet Danış Karaca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mustafa İzzet Tigin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ahmet Gökalp Sertel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mustafa İzzet Tigin was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa İzzet Tigin in the 52nd minute of play forced Atabey's goalkeeper Ahmet Gökalp Sertel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 53 minutes into the game, when Ahmet Vefik Tokuşhan put in a rough tackle. After having played for 81 minutes, Bernd Hutter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübü's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernd Hutter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ali Kürşat Çelik fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atabey's protests and gave Ali Kürşat Çelik a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübü booed when Atabey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Kürşat Çelik didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sercan Oğuzbala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübü players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
