Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ahmet Boran Akçakıl got the match started through his kick off. 12 minutes into the game, Lütfü Haseki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Catalcesme's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atabey the free kick. 11 minutes into the game, one of Catalcesme:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Zikri Erbay went to the wrong direction when Talat Yurtsever was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Atabey's zone, Kutlay Işınsu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Gökalp Sertel came out of the goal and Kutlay Işınsu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kutlay Işınsu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Gökalp Sertel having to interfere. Zikri Erbay came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Atabey's Ali Kürşat Çelik. But to his dismay, Ali Kürşat Çelik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Mehmet Edip Bican had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Catalcesme booed when Atabey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tekin Çinuçin didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Kürşat Çelik in the 37th minute of play forced Catalcesme's goalkeeper Zikri Erbay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mehmet Edip Bican's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ahmet Gökalp Sertel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Atabey's zone, Mehmet Edip Bican stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Gökalp Sertel came out of the goal and Mehmet Edip Bican tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ahmet Gökalp Sertel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kutlay Işınsu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Talat Yurtsever hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Catalcesme's Necmi İnanç shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 47th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ahmet Gökalp Sertel but with some difficulty. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When Mehmet Edip Bican came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Catalcesme fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mehmet Edip Bican couldn't finish the play. Ahmet Gökalp Sertel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kutlay Işınsu in the 55th minute of play. Kutlay Işınsu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ahmet Gökalp Sertel having to make a save. When Kutlay Işınsu came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Catalcesme fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kutlay Işınsu couldn't finish the play. In the 66th minute, Mehmet Edip Bican made a precise shot to the right of Ahmet Gökalp Sertel. Atabey's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Nazil Başeskioğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zikri Erbay having to interfere. If Mehmet Edip Bican had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Catalcesme's Kutlay Işınsu got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Atabey's Ahmet Gökalp Sertel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Edip Bican in the 74th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Kutlay Işınsu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ahmet Gökalp Sertel was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. In the 79th minute Kutlay Işınsu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Gökalp Sertel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Mecnun Uçbay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atabey's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catalcesme the free kick. After a rather tough play, Atabey's Mecnun Uçbay got a free kick in the 80th minute. Ali Kürşat Çelik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zikri Erbay having to interfere. Ahmet Boran Akçakıl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zikri Erbay having to interfere. Zikri Erbay made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Ali Kürşat Çelik sent off a good shot on target. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
