Fenerbahçe's Şafak İnciroğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vehdi Samin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Zikri Erbay made a huge save. In the 10th minute, Vehdi Samin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 12 played minutes Fenerbahçe got a freekick which was hit by Ali Emir Pektaşi. After 14 minutes, Batı Yıldırımtürk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fenerbahçe and the Catalcesme players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Fenerbahçe's Batı Yıldırımtürk got a free kick in the 14th minute. After having played for 15 minutes, Mehmet Edip Bican managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catalcesme's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mehmet Edip Bican was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe's Vehdi Samin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zikri Erbay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mehmet Edip Bican sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the game, Kutlay Işınsu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Güven Uçar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 39 minutes into the game, Batuhan Çiftçibaşı was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Catalcesme's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fenerbahçe the free kick. In the 39th match minute, Catalcesme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Batuhan Çiftçibaşı to maneuver through the defense. Kerimhan Çavlı was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.

Zikri Erbay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ensar Batır in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Fenerbahçe's Kerimhan Çavlı got a free kick in the 54th minute. Vehdi Samin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zikri Erbay having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Yalçın İsmail hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Ensar Batır managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fenerbahçe's supporters rose to their feet, but Ensar Batır was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zikri Erbay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 65 minutes into the match, Catalcesme's Mehmet Edip Bican sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Güven Uçar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Güven Uçar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kutlay Işınsu, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. When Mehmet Edip Bican came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Catalcesme fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mehmet Edip Bican couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fenerbahçe's goalkeeper Güven Uçar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ensar Batır received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Zikri Erbay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78thth minute of the game Ensar Batır who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Catalcesme's Zikri Erbay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 81st minute Ensar Batır shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zikri Erbay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vehdi Samin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kutlay Işınsu succeeded in the game's 84th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. Güven Uçar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kutlay Işınsu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kutlay Işınsu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Güven Uçar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zikri Erbay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vehdi Samin in the 96th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Catalcesme walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
