An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet İlhan Subahi in the 19th minute of play forced T O K T A Ğ A N's goalkeeper Ahmet Arif Adaş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute Hayri Ethem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Arif Adaş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmet İlhan Subahi did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Ahmet Arif Adaş 21 minutes into the match. Ayberk Karakan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Onur Saadettin, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 30 minutes into the game, when Rauf Sungun put in a rough tackle. When Hayri Ethem came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the TUNİNG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hayri Ethem couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hayri Ethem stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Seyhun Paye shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Arif Adaş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The TUNİNG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ayberk Karakan should have stopped the shot.
