In the 13th minute Bülent Akaltan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mahmut Usta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th match minute, Cide Spor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aykutalp Çağlayan to maneuver through the defense. After 15 played minutes, Orgiser's Saffet Zeren shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mahmut Usta came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Orgiser reached it. Cide Spor's Mahmut Usta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Fikret Balıkçıoğlu in the 20th minute of play. Cide Spor's Cuma Şavat managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Abdulkadir Ünlüol in the 25 minute of the game. Mahmut Usta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Fikret Balıkçıoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Orgiser's goalkeeper Ant Rızkullah, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mahmut Usta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tolga Erdurmus fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cide Spor's protests and gave Tolga Erdurmus a yellow card for diving instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ataman Mahçupyan made a kick off. Cide Spor's Baturay Cebe got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 60 played minutes Cide Spor got a freekick which was hit by Cuma Şavat. In the 62nd match minute, Cide Spor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Suat Ongar to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute, Aykutalp Çağlayan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andaç Fırıncıoğlu hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. When Saffet Zeren came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Orgiser fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saffet Zeren couldn't finish the play.
