After having played for 6 minutes, Ahmet Reha Şafak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kovancilar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Reha Şafak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th match minute, Kovancilar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kamber Tankut to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the game, Aytaç Öktem was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TOPRAKSPOR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kovancilar the free kick. After 20 played minutes TOPRAKSPOR got a freekick which was hit by Aytaç Öktem. An unexpectedly hard shot by Halit Ziya Denizalp in the 21st minute of play forced Kovancilar's goalkeeper Aktaç Toköz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Kovancilar's Aktaç Toköz got control of the ball when Aykut Oğuzbay tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35th minute Halit Ziya Denizalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aktaç Toköz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Halit Ziya Denizalp took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Aktaç Toköz to make any attempt to save it. Aktaç Toköz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Halit Ziya Denizalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 48th minute, Aykut Oğuzbay made a precise shot to the right of Aktaç Toköz. Kovancilar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Halit Ziya Denizalp stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Halit Ziya Denizalp might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aktaç Toköz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Halit Ziya Denizalp ran back to his position shaking his head. Efekan Olcay scored 3-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aktaç Toköz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Seyfullah Uz's late challenge caught a TOPRAKSPOR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Seyfullah Uz helped the player get up and apologised. Cumhur Başkaynak hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. When Halit Ziya Denizalp came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the TOPRAKSPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Halit Ziya Denizalp couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Kovancilar's Cihangir Uygu got a free kick in the 69th minute. It was beautiful to see TOPRAKSPOR's Halit Ziya Denizalp in action when he in the 71st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After having played for 72 minutes, Arif Memduh Kazım managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TOPRAKSPOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arif Memduh Kazım was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aktaç Toköz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Halit Ziya Denizalp in the 75th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Turgay Reşan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, TOPRAKSPOR's Halit Ziya Denizalp broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The throw-in from Mustafa Hamit Hatırlı in the 81st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Kovancilar's Kamber Tankut. Ahmet Reha Şafak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Nazım Beysan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kovancilar's Aktaç Toköz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aykut Oğuzbay in the 86th minute of play. Efekan Olcay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aktaç Toköz having to interfere. Aktaç Toköz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Halit Ziya Denizalp in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Halit Ziya Denizalp notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Kovancilar's Aktaç Toköz. Aktaç Toköz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 97th minute Halit Ziya Denizalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aktaç Toköz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aktaç Toköz came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by TOPRAKSPOR's Halit Ziya Denizalp. But to his dismay, Halit Ziya Denizalp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1.
