Harun Türkmen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nedim Şahinkan in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Trabzonspor getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Ciro Giusti hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the match, Siegestor München's goal looked a bit too open when Şinasi Mukbil came free, but Franciszek Mlekodaj reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Şinasi Mukbil made the kick off in the second half. Franciszek Mlekodaj came out of the goal and Şinasi Mukbil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nedim Şahinkan kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Boran Tekalp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Şinasi Mukbil dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Franciszek Mlekodaj, 1-2. Trabzonspor's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
