Cuma Mirza hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Çelemli SK's Gökçek Lemi got a free kick in the 5th minute. After some careless play in the Erzurumspor SK defense, Juhana Santahuhta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Çağatay Haliç. The Erzurumspor SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Çağatay Haliç should have stopped the shot. Juhana Santahuhta might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Çağatay Haliç. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juhana Santahuhta ran back to his position shaking his head. Aziz Yaver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arın Ferhat Saruca having to interfere. Juhana Santahuhta might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Çağatay Haliç. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juhana Santahuhta ran back to his position shaking his head. Çağatay Haliç took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juhana Santahuhta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aykut Onursan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Çağatay Haliç having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Aykut Onursan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Çelemli SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Aykut Onursan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Çağatay Haliç breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute, İshak Okanalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, Erzurumspor SK's goal looked a bit too open when Aykut Onursan came free, but Çağatay Haliç reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Çağatay Haliç came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Çelemli SK's Aykut Onursan. But to his dismay, Aykut Onursan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 35 minutes into the game, Aykut Onursan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Çağatay Haliç was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 39th minute Juhana Santahuhta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Çağatay Haliç saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 played minutes Çelemli SK got a freekick which was hit by Gökçek Lemi. In the 42nd minute of the match Alemdar Semih shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arın Ferhat Saruca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alemdar Semih sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aziz Yaver to make the kick off. Aykut Onursan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Çağatay Haliç having to interfere. Erzurumspor SK's Çağatay Haliç played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juhana Santahuhta in the 53rd minute of play. Çağatay Haliç came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Çelemli SK's Aykut Onursan. But to his dismay, Aykut Onursan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Çağatay Haliç stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juhana Santahuhta's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. When Gündüz Akpolat fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Erzurumspor SK's protests and gave Gündüz Akpolat a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Erzurumspor SK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! A hard shot 62 in the game by Juhana Santahuhta from a close distance when the talented Çağatay Haliç managed to make a qualified save. Erzurumspor SK's players were relieved. 65 minutes into the match, Erzurumspor SK's goalkeeper Çağatay Haliç had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juhana Santahuhta. Çağatay Haliç didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 66th minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Aykut Onursan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Çağatay Haliç dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. In the 87th minute Aykut Onursan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Çağatay Haliç saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gündüz Akpolat was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 91 minutes had been played. In the 91st minute, Gündüz Akpolat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 played minutes Erzurumspor SK got a freekick which was hit by Timur Pozan. After a defensive mix-up in Çelemli SK's zone, Alemdar Semih stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arın Ferhat Saruca came out of the goal and Alemdar Semih tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
