Grkn Atılım's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Ottoman Empire F.C. the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Şenol Ceviz got free with Hüsmen Boysel in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Cabbar Engiay came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Grkn Atılım fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cabbar Engiay couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the The Ottoman Empire F.C. defense, Bahri Aşkın kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ümit Yalkın. The The Ottoman Empire F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ümit Yalkın should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kartal Nezir in the 16th minute of play forced Grkn Atılım's goalkeeper Hüsmen Boysel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 played minutes Grkn Atılım got a freekick which was hit by Enginsu Balyemez. Hüsmen Boysel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Asaf Işıklar, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Hüsmen Boysel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Şenol Ceviz in the 21st minute. Ümit Yalkın made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sarp Özozan in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute, The Ottoman Empire F.C.'s Gürkan Hitit ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hüsmen Boysel. Hüsmen Boysel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Sarp Özozan struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Ümit Yalkın didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grkn Atılım. With a little luck, Grkn Atılım's Hüsmen Boysel got control of the ball when Kartal Nezir tried to sneak it across the goal line. Grkn Atılım's Sarp Özozan got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Grkn Atılım's Sarp Özozan got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Gürkan Hitit succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 33rd playminute. When İslam Diriğ came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the The Ottoman Empire F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that İslam Diriğ couldn't finish the play. Hüsmen Boysel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kartal Nezir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Abdi Saygın Hazar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bahri Aşkın sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when İslam Diriğ stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abdi Saygın Hazar took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ümit Yalkın. The referee ignored The Ottoman Empire F.C.'s protests and gave Lokman İley a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st minute, one of The Ottoman Empire F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for The Ottoman Empire F.C.. Sarp Özozans short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Ümit Yalkın to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 70 minutes into the game, The Ottoman Empire F.C.'s Gürkan Hitit nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hüsmen Boysel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. 75 minutes into the match, Grkn Atılım's goal looked a bit too open when İslam Diriğ came free, but Hüsmen Boysel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ümit Yalkın showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cabbar Engiay in the 76th minute of the match. After 77 minutes, Zeynel Oral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Ottoman Empire F.C. and the Grkn Atılım players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 83 played minutes Grkn Atılım got a freekick which was hit by Melker Kock. Sarp Özozan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sarp Özozan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Ümit Yalkın tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 96 minutes, Talip Kutertan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grkn Atılım and the The Ottoman Empire F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Talip Kutertan hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Asaf Işıklar, 97 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
