Adis Jahovic started the match with the kick off. After having played for 2 minutes, Yüksel Refah managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gültekin SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yüksel Refah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Niyazi Saygur made an important save on a dangerous shot by Radu Chesaru in the 4th minute. In the 6thth minute of the game Adis Jahovic who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gültekin SK's Javier Uhin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Adis Jahovic's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Javier Uhin was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 16th minute Fc Beşiktaş were awarded a corner. Galip Oktay went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Hıncal Akbayrak almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gültekin SK's Javier Uhin did a great save. Adis Jahovic's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Javier Uhin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Orhun Gündüz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Radu Chesaru's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Niyazi Saygur firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to Fc Beşiktaş getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Şükrü Kıralp hit a great ball. Javier Uhin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gencer Bozbora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gencer Bozbora in the 41st minute of play forced Gültekin SK's goalkeeper Javier Uhin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Fc Beşiktaş getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Şükrü Kıralp hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aktaç Rüstem made a kick off. After 54 minutes Fc Beşiktaş's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aktaç Rüstem who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Gültekin SK's Aktaç Rüstem to fire away a dangerous shot which Niyazi Saygur despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Fc Beşiktaş's goal looked a bit too open when Aktaç Rüstem came free, but Niyazi Saygur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, Adis Jahovic fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 64th minute, Adis Jahovic made a precise shot to the right of Javier Uhin. Gültekin SK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Gültekin SK's Hafız Sevimli got a free kick in the 67th minute. If Aktaç Rüstem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the game, Jacques Hevia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gültekin SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fc Beşiktaş the free kick. In the 76th minute, Jacques Hevia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adis Jahovics short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Javier Uhin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Yüksel Refah took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Niyazi Saygur. Niyazi Saygur dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. A hard shot 84 in the game by Adis Jahovic from a close distance when the talented Javier Uhin managed to make a qualified save. Gültekin SK's players were relieved. When Gencer Bozbora came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Fc Beşiktaş fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gencer Bozbora couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Fc Beşiktaş's Adis Jahovic slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Javier Uhin. That made the score 1-2 after 86 minutes of play. The supporters of Gültekin SK booed when Fc Beşiktaş was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şükrü Kıralp didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 minutes of play, Fc Beşiktaş's Gencer Bozbora made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Javier Uhin was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fc Beşiktaş eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
