An unexpectedly hard shot by Adis Jahovic in the 24th minute of play forced Erbaaspor's goalkeeper Nejat Taşboğa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Erbaaspor getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Battal Cüneyt Sadan hit a great ball. With a little luck, Fc Beşiktaş's Niyazi Saygur got control of the ball when Ditlef Garrouj tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute Ditlef Garrouj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niyazi Saygur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zikri Hikmet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Niyazi Saygur read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. After having played for 65 minutes, Hıncal Akbayrak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Beşiktaş's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hıncal Akbayrak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Adis Jahovic reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nejat Taşboğa. The goal made the score 1-4. In the 81st minute of the match Baransel Bolat sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Niyazi Saygur skillfully saved the ball. When Alim Hünkar fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Erbaaspor's protests and gave Alim Hünkar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th minute, Alim Hünkar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
