Şensoy Yücealp was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 16 minutes into the match, Manchester City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cihat Ergüven came free, but Şensoy Yücealp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Besim Şakib sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Şensoy Yücealp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cezmi Ugraş, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 40th minute, Alperen Turhan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Şensoy Yücealp was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. The audience was convinced that Harun Oymen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ata Türk was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. After 91 played minutes US Città di Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Cezmi Ugraş. US Città di Palermo played a much better game than Manchester City FC and deserved their victory. The Manchester City FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
