Harun Oymen started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Manchester City FC's Besim Şakib ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mehmet Halis Şensoy. Mehmet Halis Şensoy yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Manchester City FC's Şensoy Yücealp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kutluay Hekimbaşı in the 11th minute of play. Askale's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Harun Oymen scored to the left of an out of position Mehmet Halis Şensoy, making the score, 2-0. Askale's Mehmet Halis Şensoy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Askale from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Askale booed when Manchester City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Gökalp Hayırlı didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Kutluay Hekimbaşı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Manchester City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kutluay Hekimbaşı came free, but Şensoy Yücealp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mehmet Halis Şensoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Besim Şakib, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Besim Şakib took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mehmet Halis Şensoy. Mehmet Halis Şensoy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 32 minutes into the match, Askale's goal looked a bit too open when Harun Oymen came free, but Mehmet Halis Şensoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Çetin Teber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Askale's Mehmet Halis Şensoy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Askale from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kutluay Hekimbaşı to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Askale's Kutluay Hekimbaşı slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Şensoy Yücealp. That made the score 4-1 after 55 minutes of play. Şensoy Yücealp made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Kutluay Hekimbaşı sent off a good shot on target. Mehmet Halis Şensoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Besim Şakib in the 61st minute of play. In the 65th match minute, Manchester City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Süruri Kose to maneuver through the defense. Mehmet Halis Şensoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Besim Şakib, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. The audience was convinced that Çetin Teber's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Şensoy Yücealp was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Mehmet Halis Şensoy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ahmet Gökalp Hayırlı went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Mehmet Halis Şensoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Gökalp Hayırlı in the 75th minute of the match. Şensoy Yücealp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arif Oğuz Ömürcan in the 76th minute. Mehmet Halis Şensoy came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Manchester City FC's Harun Oymen. But to his dismay, Harun Oymen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Gökalp Hayırlı in the 82nd minute of play forced Askale's goalkeeper Mehmet Halis Şensoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mehmet Halis Şensoy came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Manchester City FC's Besim Şakib. But to his dismay, Besim Şakib quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Süruri Kose in the 88th minute of play forced Askale's goalkeeper Mehmet Halis Şensoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Vefa Sümeroğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute Durmuş Bahadıroğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Halis Şensoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mehmet Halis Şensoy came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Manchester City FC's Harun Oymen. But to his dismay, Harun Oymen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1. Manchester City FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
