Mehmet Halis Şensoy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. After a rather tough play, Van SK's Vefa Sümeroğlu got a free kick in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kahraman Tüzün to make the kick off. Van SK's Mehmet Halis Şensoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ergin Taylak in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Ahmet İlke İzzet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mehmet Halis Şensoy stood somewhat misplaced when Ergin Taylak came free in front of goal and shot 0-8 to the left of him in the 56 minute. 60 minutes into the game, Çetin Teber was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Van SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave deathsidestory the free kick. Çetin Teber hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. The supporters of deathsidestory booed when Van SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kutluay Hekimbaşı didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ahmet İlke İzzet during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Şemsettin Nusret's late challenge caught a deathsidestory's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bogdan Strungă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Çetin Teber, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
