The audience thought a goal was coming when Metin Ersavaş got free with Ahmet Baki Kutal in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ahmet Baki Kutal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Gaueko in the 28th minute of the match. Ahmet Baki Kutal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Gaueko, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. A hard shot 30 in the game by Metin Ersavaş from a close distance when the talented Ahmet Baki Kutal managed to make a qualified save. ÇaTaPaT's players were relieved. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antonio Gaueko in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmet Baki Kutal saved ÇaTaPaT from getting behind. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Metin Ersavaş to make the kick off. Fadıl Bozkaya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Orlando Paraense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Antonio Gaueko put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ahmet Baki Kutal. After some careless play in the ÇaTaPaT defense, Antonio Gaueko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ahmet Baki Kutal. The ÇaTaPaT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ahmet Baki Kutal should have stopped the shot. Asaf Bengialp's late challenge caught a ÇaTaPaT's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Asaf Bengialp helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes Hertha BSC Berlin got a freekick which was hit by Asaf Bengialp. A collision led to ÇaTaPaT getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Fadıl Bozkaya hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the game, Orhan Veli Sanat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ÇaTaPaT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hertha BSC Berlin the free kick. 75 minutes into the game, Serdar Yaltır lined in a short shot 3-2 behind a frustrated Orlando Paraense. The supporters of Hertha BSC Berlin booed when ÇaTaPaT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eyüp Alan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mazhar Laçin charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mazhar Laçin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 85th match minute, ÇaTaPaT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mazhar Laçin to maneuver through the defense. Hertha BSC Berlin's Asaf Bengialp couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 86th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for ÇaTaPaT. Ahmet Baki Kutal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antonio Gaueko went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score.
