Evaristo Arantes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sakarias Olsmann in the 12th minute. When Resulhan Masuk fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sokağın Çocukları's protests and gave Resulhan Masuk a yellow card for diving instead. Selim Baykan made in the 21st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Süruri İmge. Süruri İmge kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Ahmet Nedim Kılıçhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evaristo Arantes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sakarias Olsmann in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute Şamil Uzsoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Arantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sakarias Olsmann came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Sokağın Çocukları fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sakarias Olsmann couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Sokağın Çocukları booed when ZONGULDAK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hayati Değirmencioğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abdulkadir Sahat stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Sokağın Çocukları getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Selim Baykan hit a great ball. Ahmet Nedim Kılıçhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alaaddin İlenç having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Abdulkadir Sahat notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Sokağın Çocukları's Alaaddin İlenç. Alaaddin İlenç was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 60 minutes, Sertaç Karakan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ZONGULDAK and the Sokağın Çocukları players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Abdulkadir Sahat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Sokağın Çocukları's zone, Ahmet Nedim Kılıçhan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alaaddin İlenç came out of the goal and Ahmet Nedim Kılıçhan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the ZONGULDAK defense, Şamil Uzsoy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Evaristo Arantes. The ZONGULDAK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Evaristo Arantes should have stopped the shot. Alaaddin İlenç made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Ahmet Nedim Kılıçhan sent off a good shot on target. Resulhan Masuk was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Resulhan Masuk hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Abdulkadir Sahat, 96 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When the final whistle sounded ZONGULDAK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sokağın Çocukları.
