But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nazmi Kortan couldn't finish the play. In the 16th minute Kürşat Camcı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arkadiusz Mala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arif Akkanoğlu's late challenge caught a BÜYÜK ERZURUMSPOR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. If Nazmi Kortan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind ⓜⓤⓢⓗⓛⓔⓔ ⓢⓚ's goalkeeper Mehmet Bilge Sonat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, ⓜⓤⓢⓗⓛⓔⓔ ⓢⓚ's Çağatay Durak got a free kick in the 44th minute.
