The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for BÜYÜK ERZURUMSPOR. Arkadiusz Mala had in the 3rdth minute some difficulties stopping Mümtaz Zeynelabidin's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 3 minutes into the match, Mümtaz Zeynelabidin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arkadiusz Mala. BÜYÜK ERZURUMSPOR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mümtaz Zeynelabidin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Arkadiusz Mala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaan Eracar, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Tim Bragstad thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Arkadiusz Mala, a very annoying self made goal in the 8th minute which led to 0-2. BÜYÜK ERZURUMSPOR's İhsan Sehriyar was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 12th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kaan Eracar in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arkadiusz Mala saved BÜYÜK ERZURUMSPOR from getting behind. Arkadiusz Mala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaan Eracar, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. When BÜYÜK ERZURUMSPOR's İhsan Sehriyar in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Erzurumspor booed when BÜYÜK ERZURUMSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baykal Özer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Despite this Arkadiusz Mala quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kaan Eracar in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arkadiusz Mala saved BÜYÜK ERZURUMSPOR from getting behind. After 44 minutes, İsmail Hakkı Tunak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Erzurumspor and the BÜYÜK ERZURUMSPOR players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Erzurumspor's İsmail Hakkı Tunak got a free kick in the 44th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling İhsan Sehriyar in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Şaban Kıncal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers İhsan Sehriyar in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Şaban Kıncal saved Erzurumspor from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Asım Ekrem Yaman got free with Arkadiusz Mala in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Şaban Kıncal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İhsan Sehriyar, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Bilge Baykal notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of BÜYÜK ERZURUMSPOR's Arkadiusz Mala. Arkadiusz Mala was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arkadiusz Mala came out of the goal and Bilge Baykal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, BÜYÜK ERZURUMSPOR's Arkadiusz Mala got control of the ball when Bilge Baykal tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaan Eracar in the 70th minute of play forced BÜYÜK ERZURUMSPOR's goalkeeper Arkadiusz Mala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74thth minute of the game Kaan Eracar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BÜYÜK ERZURUMSPOR's Arkadiusz Mala was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. İhsan Sehriyar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th match minute, Erzurumspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bilge Baykal to maneuver through the defense. Erzurumspor's Bilge Baykal came free and shot a quick shot against goal 85 minutes in the game, fortunately Arkadiusz Mala had problems saving as it came toward the left post. When Baykal Özer fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BÜYÜK ERZURUMSPOR's protests and gave Baykal Özer a yellow card for diving instead. Erzurumspor played a much better game than BÜYÜK ERZURUMSPOR and deserved their victory. The BÜYÜK ERZURUMSPOR players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
