Doğaner Keşif took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orhan Veli Raif, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th play minute Bahri Oktar came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Doğaner Keşif. 1-0. Doğaner Keşif was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Pavel Nedvěd capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pavel Nedvěd really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Jorge Sennrich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Pavel Nedvěd had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Doğaner Keşif. kocaelispor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pavel Nedvěd was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. The supporters of kocaelispor booed when Yüreğir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dilaver Mecit didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deniz Akbaşak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Servet Yalvaç in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, kocaelispor's goalkeeper Doğaner Keşif had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pavel Nedvěd. After a defensive mix-up in kocaelispor's zone, Pavel Nedvěd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doğaner Keşif came out of the goal and Pavel Nedvěd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bahri Oktar did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 5-0 to the left of a surprised Doğaner Keşif 41 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Bahri Oktar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Doğaner Keşif. The goal made the score 6-0. Doğaner Keşif was a little too slow when Bahri Oktar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 7-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 7-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Servet Yalvaç stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jorge Sennrich took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Doğaner Keşif. Doğaner Keşif dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bahri Oktar in the 58th minute of play forced kocaelispor's goalkeeper Doğaner Keşif to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doğaner Keşif didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bahri Oktar went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. Yüreğir made a substitution. Mehmet Ediz Şanalp replaced Idriss Hanok. In the 67th minute of the match kocaelispor got a corner. Yüreğir's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. İzzet Korkutalp ran over to the corner to take the kick. İzzet Korkutalp made a great header on kocaelispor's corner, it was just that Yüreğir's Deniz Akbaşak managed to reach the ball for a save. Yüreğir's Jorge Sennrich got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Doğaner Keşif showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Sennrich, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Bahri Oktar took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Doğaner Keşif. Doğaner Keşif dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. After some careless play in the kocaelispor defense, Jorge Sennrich kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Doğaner Keşif. The kocaelispor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Doğaner Keşif should have stopped the shot. Yüreğir's 顾强平 was substituted for Pavel Nedvěd. 81 minutes into the match, Jorge Sennrich had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Doğaner Keşif. kocaelispor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorge Sennrich was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 12-0. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orhan Veli Raif couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, kocaelispor's Servet Yalvaç got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
