In the 19th minute, Meriç İplikçi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, Kanaryaspor HK's goal looked a bit too open when Meriç İplikçi came free, but Fevzi Hattat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Volkan Ilgın came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Oltu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Volkan Ilgın couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Meriç İplikçi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fevzi Hattat was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Meriç İplikçi in the 88th minute of play forced Kanaryaspor HK's goalkeeper Fevzi Hattat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 95 minutes, Volkan Ilgın managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oltu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Volkan Ilgın was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Volkan Ilgın sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Oltu could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kanaryaspor HK throughout the match.
