The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Werder Weremem's Hamza Veli got control of the ball when Günalp Akcebe tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Werder Weremem defense, Günalp Akcebe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hamza Veli. The Werder Weremem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hamza Veli should have stopped the shot. Günalp Akcebe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hamza Veli having to make a save. 21 minutes into the match, Werder Weremem's goal looked a bit too open when Haşmet Muhteşem came free, but Hamza Veli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hamza Veli was a little too slow when Haşmet Muhteşem got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 3-0. Hamza Veli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zafer Pınar went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 36th minute Faik Tunçbay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Muharrem Refi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 played minutes Kahyaspor got a freekick which was hit by Zafer Pınar. In the 40th minute, Zafer Pınar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hamza Veli was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Sabahattin Beyhan charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sabahattin Beyhan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th minute, Sabahattin Beyhan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The wind increased when Zafer Pınar made the kick off in the second half. Hamza Veli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haşmet Muhteşem in the 52nd minute of play. Hamza Veli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Günalp Akcebe, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Günalp Akcebe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Günalp Akcebe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 70 minutes, Günalp Akcebe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kahyaspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Günalp Akcebe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Haşmet Muhteşem might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hamza Veli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Haşmet Muhteşem ran back to his position shaking his head. Muharrem Refi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bektaş Evliya showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-1 in the 74 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Faik Tunçbay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Werder Weremem's supporters rose to their feet, but Faik Tunçbay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Muharrem Refi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 83 minutes into the match, Kahyaspor's goal looked a bit too open when Bektaş Evliya came free, but Muharrem Refi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haşmet Muhteşem in the 84th minute of play forced Werder Weremem's goalkeeper Hamza Veli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
