After 15 played minutes F.C BEŞİKTAŞ got a freekick which was hit by Bora Ersal. 19 minutes into the match, F.C BEŞİKTAŞ's goal looked a bit too open when Hamza Seyidhan came free, but Stojmen Tujković reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor FK's goal looked a bit too open when Rasmus Højlund came free, but İbrahim Deveci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rasmus Højlund in the 24th minute of play forced Trabzonspor FK's goalkeeper İbrahim Deveci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Trabzonspor FK's goalkeeper İbrahim Deveci, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Trabzonspor FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C BEŞİKTAŞ the free kick. Stojmen Tujković came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Trabzonspor FK's Erbatur Zeyyat. But to his dismay, Erbatur Zeyyat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hamza Seyidhan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Trabzonspor FK getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Haşim Haliloğlu hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hamza Seyidhan during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rasmus Højlund struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. İbrahim Deveci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C BEŞİKTAŞ. Rasmus Højlund's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 97thth minute, İbrahim Deveci skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rasmus Højlund got free with İbrahim Deveci in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. F.C BEŞİKTAŞ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
