After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Bayındır Toktahan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kocaelispor's supporters rose to their feet, but Bayındır Toktahan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hakkı Onur Kocaker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 38 minutes into the game, Punksnotdead's Çakır Hayal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Çakır Hayal might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mustafa Kemal Dalmaz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Çakır Hayal ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 67th minute Kazım Haylaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hakkı Onur Kocaker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Bayındır Toktahan came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Kocaelispor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bayındır Toktahan couldn't finish the play. The Punksnotdead players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
