The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saffet Müjdat got free with Fırat Erek in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 4th minute ANTALYASPOR were awarded a corner. Saffet Müjdat went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Mehmet Bedri Perkel managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Fırat Erek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Saffet Müjdat in the 7th minute. After a rather tough play, Bandırmaspor's Ercan Paşa got a free kick in the 10th minute. Saffet Müjdat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Fırat Erek made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saffet Müjdat got free with Fırat Erek in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fırat Erek was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Saffet Müjdat showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 32 minute of play. Sabahattin Onurhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlo Di Clemente, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Mehmet Bedri Perkel's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fırat Erek firmly grabbed it by the left post. ANTALYASPOR's Sabahattin Onurhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlo Di Clemente in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlo Di Clemente in the 40th minute of play forced ANTALYASPOR's goalkeeper Sabahattin Onurhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Bandırmaspor getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Güner Sevimli hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Saffet Müjdat to strike the kick off in the second half. Fırat Erek came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by ANTALYASPOR's Saffet Müjdat. But to his dismay, Saffet Müjdat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. ANTALYASPOR's Bahri Ungan got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Bandırmaspor's goalkeeper Fırat Erek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Saffet Müjdat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fırat Erek having to interfere. Fırat Erek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saffet Müjdat in the 65th minute of the match. Saffet Müjdat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ANTALYASPOR's Özmen Uzkan was substituted for Gazi Fırat. After some careless play in the Bandırmaspor defense, Saffet Müjdat kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fırat Erek. The Bandırmaspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fırat Erek should have stopped the shot. Fırat Erek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saffet Müjdat in the 80th minute of play. When Mehmet Bedri Perkel came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the ANTALYASPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mehmet Bedri Perkel couldn't finish the play. ANTALYASPOR's Neşat Kiner was substituted for Bahri Ungan. Fırat Erek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özmen Uzkan in the 85th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Şanver Asalet during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 played minutes Bandırmaspor got a freekick which was hit by Şanver Asalet. Fırat Erek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Özmen Uzkan, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Fırat Erek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saffet Müjdat in the 91st minute of play. ANTALYASPOR walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
