The supporters of Celebi FK booed when Samsunspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cui Jun Qi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samsunspor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Samsunspor's goal looked a bit too open when Kürşat Özdurdu came free, but Luiz Eduardo de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Eduardo de Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faruk Torlak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Eduardo de Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kaan Nasip blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yaşar Kiray having to make a save. Kürşat Özdurdu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Eduardo de Amaral having to interfere. İldeniz Derem made in the 27th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ercan Avcı however managed to control. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baturay Kutlucan during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luiz Eduardo de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kürşat Özdurdu, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Kaan Nasip did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Yaşar Kiray 46 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kaan Nasip was the one to do the kick off. Ziya Talut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Eduardo de Amaral having to interfere. In the 54thth minute of the game Kürşat Özdurdu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Samsunspor's Luiz Eduardo de Amaral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Samsunspor's Luiz Eduardo de Amaral got control of the ball when Ercan Avcı tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Samsunspor's Baturay Kutlucan got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 92nd minute, Ziya Talut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cui Jun Qi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
