Spectators: 7723 (Terracing: 5793, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hasan Güzir started the match with the kick off. Şakir Salti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Şakir Salti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Erasmo França tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Imperio Safávida's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Şakir Salti fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Michael Hegngaard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hasan Güzir in the 19th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Şakir Salti in the 20th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Ahmet Koralp Karabulut kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Imperio Safávida's Eren Nesefi got a free kick in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şakir Salti in the 31st minute of play forced Imperio Safávida's goalkeeper Erasmo França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Sezai Turkay threw the ball into play from the sideline. Imperio Safávida's Eren Nesefi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Ali Nabi Şimşektürk charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ali Nabi Şimşektürk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Michael Hegngaard had in the 37thth minute some difficulties stopping İslam Kayaer's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Imperio Safávida's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by İslam Kayaer in the 38th minute. Ahmet Koralp Karabulut made a great header on Imperio Safávida's corner, it was just that Giresunspor's Michael Hegngaard managed to reach the ball for a save. Hasan Güzir struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Michael Hegngaard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Imperio Safávida. Giresunspor's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ali Nabi Şimşektürk in the 44th minute. After taking down the ball on Giresunspor's corner Ali Nabi Şimşektürk fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Erasmo França quite easily take care of the ball. When Erman Hiçyılmaz came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Giresunspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erman Hiçyılmaz couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Şakir Salti was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Giresunspor's Anıl Ege Payidar made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erasmo França was left in no man's land by his defense there! Erasmo França stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Şakir Salti's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Imperio Safávida's Erasmo França played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erman Hiçyılmaz in the 58th minute of play. Hasan Güzir scored 1-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michael Hegngaard, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Imperio Safávida's Eren Nesefi quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Geir-Inge Lauten, made in the 68th minute of the game. In the 69th match minute, Giresunspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baybars Akdemir to maneuver through the defense. If Erman Hiçyılmaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Şakir Salti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erasmo França was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Hasan Güzir's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michael Hegngaard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. The throw-in from Sezai Turkay in the 86th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Imperio Safávida's Hasan Güzir. After 87 played minutes Imperio Safávida got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Koralp Karabulut. After a rather tough play, Imperio Safávida's Eren Nesefi got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute of the match Ali Nabi Şimşektürk shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erasmo França showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Erman Hiçyılmaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Imperio Safávida's goal looked a bit too open when Anıl Ege Payidar came free, but Erasmo França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Giresunspor fans cheered their team off the field, for while Imperio Safávida had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
