The coaching staff of Giresunspor protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cido Furtado had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 83rd minute, Cido Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing San Gwann Birlik would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
