Izidor Daskijević blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Samim Esentürk having to make a save. Hazım Suhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Samim Esentürk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in San Gwann Birlik's zone, Arda Ünver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samim Esentürk came out of the goal and Arda Ünver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th minute Arda Ünver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samim Esentürk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samim Esentürk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arda Ünver in the 11th minute of play. Aybars Maksum took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Samim Esentürk. Samim Esentürk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Mehmet Ferit Selahaddin made in the 17th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Arda Ünver however managed to control. Samim Esentürk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arda Ünver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Aybars Maksum left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GÖKBÖRÜ ϜϓſϞ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arda Ünver in the 25th minute of play forced San Gwann Birlik's goalkeeper Samim Esentürk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Orhan Değirmenci hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. A collision led to San Gwann Birlik getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Mert Bumba hit a great ball. After 35 minutes, Illimar Valgupera mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GÖKBÖRÜ ϜϓſϞ and the San Gwann Birlik players grew even worse after the yellow card. Samim Esentürk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aybars Maksum, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The San Gwann Birlik players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. GÖKBÖRÜ ϜϓſϞ were winning 0-4.

San Gwann Birlik's Mariusz Kocieniewski was substituted for Zülfü Gürgen. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arda Ünver made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Izidor Daskijević recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Samim Esentürk. Izidor Daskijević showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Samim Esentürk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hazım Suhan in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Arda Ünver left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GÖKBÖRÜ ϜϓſϞ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. 71 minutes into the match, San Gwann Birlik's goal looked a bit too open when Aybars Maksum came free, but Samim Esentürk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When San Gwann Birlik's Ali Vedat Ongul in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. San Gwann Birlik's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aybars Maksum was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mert Bumba during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 95 played minutes San Gwann Birlik got a freekick which was hit by Mert Bumba. Gazanfer Özcan Kutalmış kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. GÖKBÖRÜ ϜϓſϞ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
