The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kostas Stathakos in the 20th minute of play forced GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Abdullah Ersayın to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdullah Ersayın showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kostas Stathakos in the 22nd minute of the match. Baykam Atlıhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Rıfat Asutay didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the match, DMR Futbol AŞ's goal looked a bit too open when Yavuz Bülent Taçyıldız came free, but Saverio Urquijo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Kostas Stathakos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdullah Ersayın saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yavuz Bülent Taçyıldız was the one to do the kick off. Ufuk Aygüneş ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Baykam Atlıhan managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Kostas Stathakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. DMR Futbol AŞ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kostas Stathakos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Abdullah Ersayın had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baykam Atlıhan. Kostas Stathakos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abdullah Ersayın having to make a save. Kostas Stathakos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gazanfer Özcan Berkkan during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 82 played minutes GALATASARAY got a freekick which was hit by Gazanfer Özcan Berkkan. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Abdullah Ersayın successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baykam Atlıhan got free with Abdullah Ersayın in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Kostas Stathakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 87th match minute, GALATASARAY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gazanfer Özcan Berkkan to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, DMR Futbol AŞ's Ufuk Aygüneş tried to score from far away in the 88th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. DMR Futbol AŞ's Kostas Stathakos got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Kostas Stathakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. DMR Futbol AŞ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
