With his leg Tolga Sezen managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Lion FC's Hızır Dilazad fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 14th minute, Stephan Appiah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 20 minutes, Stephan Appiah made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Lion FC's Ufuk Rasih tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stephan Appiah in the 25th minute of play forced Lion FC's goalkeeper Ufuk Rasih to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Stephan Appiah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 40 minutes, Stephan Appiah managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saray Spor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stephan Appiah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Saray Spor's Tolga Sezen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hızır Dilazad in the 57th minute of play. Tolga Sezen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feyzullay Sağanalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 63rd minute, Ahmet Sedat Acemoğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 90th match minute, Saray Spor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şehzade Gençyaz to maneuver through the defense.
