Birant Yesar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Bilge Yalçınkaya when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the last second Bilge Yalçınkaya throw himself and got hold of the ball when Birant Yesar in the 5thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The audience was convinced that Birant Yesar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bilge Yalçınkaya was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Ahmet Gündüz Tolgan might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ahmet Nafiz Nebahattin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Gündüz Tolgan ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 12th minute Ahmet Gündüz Tolgan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Nafiz Nebahattin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GK16's Bilge Yalçınkaya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save GK16 from getting a goal against them. In the 20th minute, Zdzislaw Bochinski made a precise shot to the right of Ahmet Nafiz Nebahattin. Gültepe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 22 minutes into the match, Gültepe's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Gündüz Tolgan came free, but Ahmet Nafiz Nebahattin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zdzislaw Bochinski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ahmet Nafiz Nebahattin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, Zdzislaw Bochinski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ahmet Nafiz Nebahattin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 33 played minutes Gültepe got a freekick which was hit by Feridun Yengi. Gültepe were furious when Eser Tolunbay was red carded, 33 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 34th minute, Eser Tolunbay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Birkan Akbey struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Ahmet Nafiz Nebahattin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GK16. If Sait Oyhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmet Gündüz Tolgan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmet Gündüz Tolgan in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmet Nafiz Nebahattin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Gültepe defense, Zdzislaw Bochinski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ahmet Nafiz Nebahattin. The Gültepe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ahmet Nafiz Nebahattin should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Birant Yesar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gültepe's Ahmet Nafiz Nebahattin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Gültepe from getting a goal against them. In the 52nd match minute, Gültepe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Vefik Kurboga to maneuver through the defense. When Birant Yesar came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Gültepe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Birant Yesar couldn't finish the play. 63 minutes into the match, Zdzislaw Bochinski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ahmet Nafiz Nebahattin. Gültepe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zdzislaw Bochinski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Ahmet Vefik Kurboga kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Bruninho Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot. GK16's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruninho Pena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmet Nafiz Nebahattin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Ahmet Nafiz Nebahattin managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when GK16's Zdzislaw Bochinski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Zdzislaw Bochinski in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ahmet Nafiz Nebahattin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 73 played minutes GK16 got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Oğuz Yener. Cemal Durkaya kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 81st minute of the match, Zdzislaw Bochinski got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ahmet Nafiz Nebahattin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of Gültepe booed when GK16 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Kağan Canser didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Birant Yesar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Birant Yesar came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Gültepe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Birant Yesar couldn't finish the play. Ahmet Kağan Canser charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ahmet Kağan Canser the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ahmet Kağan Canser hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Gültepe manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing GK16 to win.
