A collision led to Samsunspor getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Fikri Saygın hit a great ball. Türker Sanbay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ufuk Artuç in the 12th minute of play. KRAL KARTAL were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Samsunspor's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Necat Çelenk took the corner. In the 16th minute, Uğur Sabancı fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Türker Sanbay was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Ufuk Artuç capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ufuk Artuç really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 24thth minute of the game Berkem Kasım who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KRAL KARTAL's Semavi Ortunc was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Özal Kutuner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Türker Sanbay made a huge save. In the 37th minute, Ejder Varan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Samsunspor's goal looked a bit too open when Ufuk Artuç came free, but Türker Sanbay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to KRAL KARTAL getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Özkan Avcı hit a great ball. Özal Kutuner charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Özal Kutuner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, KRAL KARTAL's Özal Kutuner got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute Ufuk Artuç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Türker Sanbay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Türker Sanbay managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when KRAL KARTAL's Özal Kutuner fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fikri Saygın was the one to do the kick off. When Birkan Batı fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Samsunspor's protests and gave Birkan Batı a yellow card for diving instead. Birkan Batı hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Türker Sanbay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ufuk Artuç in the 63rd minute of the match. Samsunspor's Türker Sanbay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ufuk Artuç in the 67th minute of play. Türker Sanbay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Özal Kutuner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute, Özal Kutuner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KRAL KARTAL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Özal Kutuner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Türker Sanbay having to interfere. Birkan Batı kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. KRAL KARTAL were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
