The audience thought a goal was coming when Berke Turkay got free with Hulki Özkutlu in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hulki Özkutlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabahattin İnceman in the 8th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nuratay Alatay during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Acar Özkent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Kartal booed when ÇıLgIn TüRkLeR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Asaf Renan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kartal's Hüseyin Can Burçhan got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. ÇıLgIn TüRkLeR's Hulki Özkutlu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save ÇıLgIn TüRkLeR from getting a goal against them. In the 31st minute, Fevzi Adaş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute Acar Özkent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ceferino Austin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ediz İğdemir fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kartal's protests and gave Ediz İğdemir a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th minute, Ediz İğdemir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sabahattin İnceman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Berke Turkay to make the kick off. Fevzi Adaş charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fevzi Adaş the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kartal's Ceferino Austin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Kartal from getting a goal against them. In the 70th minute, ÇıLgIn TüRkLeR's Acar Özkent ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ceferino Austin. Ceferino Austin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. ÇıLgIn TüRkLeR's Atahan Durdu got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. ÇıLgIn TüRkLeR's Hulki Özkutlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hüseyin Can Burçhan in the 76th minute of play. After some careless play in the ÇıLgIn TüRkLeR defense, Hüseyin Can Burçhan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hulki Özkutlu. The ÇıLgIn TüRkLeR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hulki Özkutlu should have stopped the shot. 81 minutes into the match, Acar Özkent had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ceferino Austin. Kartal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Acar Özkent was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Ceferino Austin made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Acar Özkent sent off a good shot on target. Acar Özkent was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. ÇıLgIn TüRkLeR's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Fevzi Adaş got his second yellow card in the match during the 94th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 95th match minute, Kartal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fevzi Adaş to maneuver through the defense. The ÇıLgIn TüRkLeR players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
